Calling all the KFC lovers of Singapore, the world-famous Kentucky Fried Chicken is now offering tours of their kitchens for only S$15. The tour lasts 35 minutes and will also include a two-piece chicken meal and goodies bag.
This tour is a part of the KFC Open Kitchen program where customers can view for themselves how the cooks of KFC work their magic. Starting on April 13th, there will be 36 tour sessions monthly at participating locations such as Kallang, Toa Payoh Lorong 6, Jurong Point, Waterway Point, and Northpoint City.
Lynette Lee, General Manager of KFC Singapore, estimates that 3,000 guests will take a tour of KFC’s kitchens. They believe it is only fair that their customers get to see the behind-the-scenes process of the cooks making that amazing chicken.
People taking the tour will be able to see the cooks adhere to the “7-10-7” rule where the chicken is rolled in a basket 7 times to remove moisture, tossed 10 times in flour, and then coated in breading flour 7 times. However, since the flour is pre-made and shipped to the kitchens, the secret blend of spices and herbs will remain a mystery.
